Hi, my name is Ruud de Man

I am an Assistant Librarian at the Cultural Heritage Agency (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science) in Amersfoort (the Netherlands) and in my Spare Time (now three Days) Freelance Photographer. I take Pictures from Nature (Plants, Mushrooms, Insects and Landscapes). I also take regularly Pictures in my Home Studio.

My equipment is the Pentax K20D, with Sigma lenses 17-70mm macro, 70 mm Macro, 100 mm Macro and the 180 mm Macro. Pentax Lenses: 12-24 mm, 50 mm Macro, 18-250 mm and an old A Lens of 300mm.

I have since januari 2011 the Canon 5D mkII with the EF 24-70mm F2.8 Zoom Lens, the Zoom Lens EF 70-200mm F2.8 L, the Zoom Lens EF 70-300mm IS USM, the EF 100mm 2,8 L macro IS USM Lens and the EF 300mm F4.0 L Lens.

Besides I have an Epson 4990 Photo Scanner to scan my Slides etc.

I'm making Pictures since the Seventies.

Statement: A Picture must be more than a Snapshot. It is good when this Picture can tell a Story.
